ABOUT US
The Woodlands Republican Women, TWRW, is a Republican Women's club federated by the Texas Federation of Republican Women. We are a multi-generational organization that provides the structure and support for conservative women to engage in the political process. While only women can be voting members of the club, we welcome men and couples to join at all of our events.
HISTORY
TWRW was founded in 1987. The original group of women met in members' homes with the objective of promoting the Republican Party by encouraging Republicans to vote and run for office.
Over time, membership increased and meetings were held monthly in the evening at The Forum in Panther Creek. The club changed its name to The Woodlands Republican Women in 2000 to better represent the club’s purpose. TWRW has become an anchored presence in the Montgomery County grassroots community as a result of the diligent work of our club leadership and members.
Today, our club is unique in that many of our leaders are elected officials or work in politics. Through many changes over the years, the mission of TWRW remains steadfast: to support conservative candidates for office and to elevate the voices of female conservatives.
